Esprit de She is a female race series that is made up of triathlons, duathlons, and road races (5Ks and 10Ks) in multiple cities across the nation. Whether you are a walker, casual runner or an elite, Esprit de She welcomes you to join them in a fun filled event with your family and girlfriends (or make new friends there) to celebrate you! Once you cross the finish line, you are invited to some "girls night out" fun with your ladies! Count me in!
The Atlanta Esprit de She is traditionally held on Thursday evenings to truly make it a "girls night out." Having an evening race was definitely a little bit of a twist since most of my races are early mornings.
The race started and finished at Park Tavern at Piedmont Park which is a great location with a good amount of parking (for a minimal hourly rate). Fall was definetly in the air today as the trees throughout the park were rich and vibrant in fall leaves. Also, while it was a little warm today, the temperature was expected to drop this evening (something that Atlantans have been looking forward to for weeks).
The were slight rolling hills (nothing too crazy) throughout and some of the course was on the Active Oval which is a gravel path. I really enjoyed running this course because since it was all inside the park, there was no traffic to worry about.
I will definitely be marking the Esprit de She on my race calendar for 2017 - trust me, this is one that you don't want to miss either! Be sure to check out the Esprit de She website for information on upcoming events in a city near you!
