When I got there I almost immediately ran into my friend Crystal. I haven't seen her in FOREVER, so it was great to see her face this morning. Typically a large group of us run this race, but schedules prevented a lot of them to running this year.
Bib pickup was well organized, there was music pumping, and energy was great. Even though it is definitely a smaller race, the atmosphere was still great and the volunteers were awesome.
The course takes you primarily through neighborhoods before leading you down to the park to the finish line. There was a water station set up around the half-way point and a few residents were out cheering along the way. After rocking the hills, it was great to have most of the last .2 miles or so be downhill to the finish.
