As I start to plan ahead for the upcoming few months, I started to think of ways that I can keep myself safe while logging my miles. Not only am I needing a product to help me see the road ahead, but most importantly I want to make sure that cars see me. Knuckle Lights are huge on the premise of "see and be seen" which is exactly what I am looking for, so I am excited to be .
"Knuckle Lights will brighten up your early morning runs with the wide-flood LED beam that pumps out a smooth spread of 280 lumens. Designed to be worn across the front of your hands, Knuckle Lights allow you full use of your hands without the bothersome bobbling of a headlamp. No more hunting for batteries, or the matching pair, as the recharging docks and magnetic connection means your Knuckle Lights are always ready when you are." (Source: Knuckle Lights)
- 2 LIGHTS PER SET: The 2 units are held comfortably on your hands with soft silicone straps. The straps are easily adjusted to fit any size hand and even over gloves. The units connect together magnetically so they can easily be stored when not in use. The units are super lightweight at less than 3 ounces each.
- 280 TOTAL LUMENS: Each unit is 140 Lumens on high power, so you get a super bright 280 Lumens combined. The LED pattern is a WIDE FLOOD BEAM, so it puts out light in all directions, providing a steady, even light in front of you that does not bounce around, even with your arms moving.
- 3 POWER SETTINGS: High, Low and Blinking.
- USB RECHARGEABLE WITH CHARGING DOCK: Simply place the units on the charging dock after each use and they will always be fully charged and ready to go when you are.
- BATTERY LIFE PER CHARGE: 4 Hours on High Power | 8 Hours on Low Power | 14 Hours on Blinking.
- IPX-6 WATERPROOF: The units can be used in any type of weather and will not leak or fail.
- 5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY: Knuckle Lights are guaranteed for 5 years against defects in materials or manufacture.

Charging
I have gone through more batteries and generic flashlights over the past few years, so I am looking forward to having a new way to light my run without wasting batteries. What is even better is that the Rechargeable Knuckle Lights can be charged 800 times before they even begin to loose battery capacity. My charging dock is now conveniently located at the bottom of my steps by the front door so my Knuckle Lights will be ready to go every day. |
Knuckle LIghts are so crazy easy to use! Charge, loop on, click, and go! To turn the Knuckle Lights on/off or change the mode, you simply click a simple button on the top. One click turns on the high mode, two clicks for low mode, three clicks for blinking, and the fourth click turns them off. How easy is that!?! I think these settings are pretty self explanatory as to what they are. The high and low are really great when you are needing to light the way (and be seen). However, the mode I will be using the most is the blinking mode. A lot of my evening miles are logged in my neighborhood which has some street lights and house lights that provide a lot of adequate light (for the most part). I really enjoy the blinking mode because so many cars come through the neighborhood in the evening that I want to make sure that they are aware that I am there - I see them, but they don't necessarily see me.
