Despite crazy bus drama yesterday for the 10K, today was much easier and we had a bus at our stop before 3am waiting to pull out when buses started at 3am. Security was a breeze and we made our way to Race Retreat to relax and eat breakfast before heading to the corrals.
Each corral went off a few minutes apart with cheers, fireworks and fan fare. Finally around 5:40 we were sent on our way by.
There is always anxiety about how crowded it will be going through the castle and if you will get to "run" through it or "shuffle" through a bottleneck. When Kara and I made it through, the crowd was fairly light. Not empty, but not a total bottleneck.
Now it is time for my yearly public service announcement...every year I see at least one runner that insists that they are going to run on the other side of the road.
