The past few years, I have ran the Atlanta Track Club Resolution Run 5K/10K. Due to location conflicts, the Atlanta Track Club had to make a decision to change the location and race distance of the Resolution Run for 2015. This year's race was now a 4 Miler and 1 Miler in Brookhaven. 4 Milers are pretty rare in Atlanta, so I was excited for the new distance.
Going into the race I knew what my goal time was, however I did not know what the course was going to be like. It can be a little scary going into a race "blind" and not knowing what to expect. I settled very quickly into my pace and just 'went.' This was the first race that I didn't look at my Garmin for my pace until I got to the finish line. When I finished, I could not believe that I just PR'ed by over 10 minutes! What an awesome way to start 2015!
