As Atlanta Track Club and the city of Atlanta prepare to host this prestigious event, they held a "test event" which consisted of the last 8.2 miles of the 26.2 miles that will be ran next February. Some of country's fastest marathoners made up a very competitive field of Olympic hopefuls that were taking to the course as part of the elite wave.
I love Atlanta Track Club events in general, but I knew that this was a once in a lifetime race to run. Obviously I had to be there and I knew just what to wear. I might not be as fast as an Olympic hopeful, but I can sure have the spirit!
All finishers received a finisher medal and a Road to Gold drawstring bag and scarf. I have soooooooo many race shirts and while I wear them, I have way more than one person could wear, so I was really excited when Atlanta Track Club announced that runners would receive a scarf rather than shirts.
