The Disneyland 5K takes participants on a 3.1 magical journey mainly through the Disneyland Resort area. Most of the course is through Disney California Adventure, Disneyland, and Downtown Disney. Of course, it wouldn't be a runDisney race without a few of your favorite Disney characters along the way for a photo opportunities. #TBT - Disneyland 1/2 Marathon Weekend Countdown: A Look Back at the 2014-16 Disneyland 5K8/10/2017 2014 was my first Disneyland 5K during Disneyland 1/2 Marathon weekend. There are a variety of reasons that I absolutely adore the runDisney 5Ks. They provide a more relaxed environment for families and novice runners to enjoy the magic of runDisney race weekend, they are a great shakeout run for those running the other races, and its just FUN in general. The runDisney 5Ks are a un-timed race which makes for a much less competitive and relaxed environment. While there are still plenty of people that run hard, there are just as many that have fun and take it easy. To celebrate the "unofficial countdown" to Disneyland 1/2 Marathon weekend 2017, here is a look back at a few of my favorite moments from the 2014 Disneyland 5K. In 2015, I took a "spin" around the Disneyland Resort for the Disneyland 5K. This was definitely one of my favorite race costumes that I had made and had a blast wearing it Last year's Disneyland 5K was a little different for me. I had the wonderful opportunity to serve as an Achilles Guide with the Cigna team and help lead the way for Debbie and Natalie to finish their first Disneyland 5K together! It was such an amazing and MAGICAL experience to say the least. It was great to be able to help provide tips and insight before the race to my team and show them my favorite parts of the course along the way, but the best part was the finish line celebration! The peak weeks of training for the 2017 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend are coming up and before we know it, it will be here! It is time to get ready for final training runs! Wahoooo Question of the Day: Will I be seeing you at the Disneyland 5K
