After finishing the Atlanta Women's 5K in downtown Atlanta, I changed my clothes and headed right over to Covington to meet up with the guys.
Next we hit No Man's Land which was a series of over a wall, under barbed wire and over another wall. We followed up with something different - Upslide Down which had us in a small trench of water then hoping onto a slide on your back and use the cargo net above to hoist yourself up the slide.
As soon as Kurt mustered the words that he wanted to jump into a pool, we approached signs that the next obstacle required swimming. It is time to conquer Alcatraz! Oh my goodness! That water was cold (yet refreshing)! We got into the lake, swam out to floating docks, climbed up and over the docks before swimming to the shore.
The next obstacles were Down to Earth which is basically crawling through muddy trenches and Filth Element where you went into a water trench then climbed up a slide and climbed some more to a platform where a slide took you down to the bottom.
It isn't an OCR without fire, right? Warrior Roast was one of our final obstacles and one that is definitely about getting that awesome picture of you leaping over flames!
It was a total blast for sure and I am so glad I had these three guys along my side for the ride today.
Next it was time for a celebratory beer before heading out and going to lunch. I think Kurt and I are still annoyed that they sold out of the commemorative beer steins earlier in the morning, but we will survive. I got my horns so I was happy.
