Run@Work Day and Run@School Day are both held on Friday, September 15, 2017, so there is still time to organize an event at your work or school. There are some rules that Road Runners Club of America want you to follow when you organize your event (don't worry, it is all easy peasy) which you can check out here.
I want to see all of the awesomeness that you are doing on Friday, so be sure to post your crazy running selfies or post run pictures on social media. Remember, you never know who you might inspire!
With fall right around the corner, night (or at least dusk) running will become more of a regular for runners. While safety in general while running is important, safety while running in the dark is even more important. Making sure that you are visible to cars as well as other runners is one of the most important safety points for runners at night. Most runners just think of lights and light-colored clothing to increase visibility, however there are additional measures you can take like the Mag Strobe.
The Mag Flash is a magnetic clip-on reflective patch that adds illumination and reflective safety to your run, walk, ride, etc. The Mag Strobe is super easy to use and just simply "clips on" via magnets to your shirt, running belt, vest, etc and adds additional visibility to you in an instant. There are also three different light options including a fast strobe, slow strobe and steady light which are produced with a battery with 35+ battery life. |
The LightSpur RX is great for runners, walkers, and cyclists alike as it provides a bright LED on the back of your shoe via a lightweight shoe clip. The LightSpur RX attaches securely to the heel of your shoe and offers multiple colors and settings for your visibility needs. I honestly never really thought about having lights on the back of me so cars, bikes, and other runners can see me, so this is really cool.
Ever have that shoe that won't stay tied? Wasted valuable seconds in a race or transition fooling around with laces? The NATHAN Run Laces are perfect for a variety of athletes from runners to walkers to triathletes and even kids and elderly who just hate or can't tie their shoe laces. The fastening system keeps your shoes laced secure and tight with one simple movement.
