I have to be honest and real - I didn't really love them. Upon opening the vanilla and chocolate flavored Hemp Heart Bars, I was hit with a very strong and over-powering scent of different flavors. The scent was so strong that I didn't even really smell nor taste the promised chocolate or vanilla flavors. I think dialing down some of the additional flavors might help the chocolate and vanilla flavor shine a little bit more.
The apple cinnamon bar was a lot better - there was a definite apple taste to it, but there was something still a little strong to it. While I didn't love the apple cinnamon, it was definitely the best of the three flavors. I was honestly surprised when this was the one that I favored.
Do I plan to purchase these bars in the future? Probably not. Am I turned off from the other products in Manitoba Harvest's product line? No. I would definitely be interested in trying out other hemp heart products - perhaps the protein powder where I can control the other ingredients in what I am about to consume. I think the concept of the Hemp Heart Bars was a great concept - you can get a lot of great nutrients in a convenient on-the-go bar, however the execution wasn't exactly on point in my opinion.
Thank you again to Sweat Pink/Fit Approach and Manitoba Harvest for this opportunity. I always enjoy learning about new products and of course getting to try them out to see if they are a good fit for me and my lifestyle. I always want to keep my blog honest and true to my thoughts/opinions, so while this might not be the product for me, it could certainly be one for you.
