Adventure Runs are hosted by Road Runner Sports stores and are a scavenger hunt style fun run/walk. At the start of the run, a map is revealed and you are sent on your way. Your goal is to get to as many checkpoints and get back to the store in an hour. Each checkpoint gives you raffle tickets to be used in the drawings once the hour is over. At some checkpoints you simply get tickets for arriving and some have fun little tasks to complete. There are some pretty awesome prizes to be won and the best part is that Adventure Runs are FREE!
We started filling up our 'passports' instantly. There were three vendors set up inside of Road Runner Sports tonight: Benchmark Physical Therapy, Top Golf, and Andretti Thrill Park. Confession: I am a sucker for spin the wheel games. I don't know what it is about them, but I adore them. We got to spin prize wheels not once, but TWICE tonight! We scored some awesome coupons for both Andretti Trill Park and Top Golf (which I am stoked about).
Tonight we switched it up just slightly. Since we literally ran right past two stops before we even exited the shopping center, we made two quick stops on our way out. The first stops were Cosmetic Market and Pottery Barn Kids. (Note: Pottery Barn Kids has some super adorable Dr. Seuss Grinch sheets, if you so feel inclined, I would love these in queen sized please and thank you)
This check point was a really cute one! We got to play "punch a prize"! You select a spot on the boards and punch the whole to reveal a prize. My spot had 16 tickets in it! SWEEEEEEET!
We gauged which places we would hit first based on the traffic patterns. We follow all rules of Adventure Run, including crossing the streets legally (at crosswalks and on 'walk' signals). Seriously, it isn't worth the tickets to get hit by a car, y'all. Our first stop out here was a quick stop to see the awesome team at Mr. Taco.
It has been an awesome way to get some miles in, win some awesome prizes, and meet some great friends! Have no fear, Adventure Run will return in the spring, and I hope to make even more great memories in 2017 with my Road Runner Sports family!
