The Historic 5K takes part in conjunction with the Rose Lawn Arts & Crafts Festival. It was definitely a much small race with around 60 runners. It is sometimes nice to just get to run a "no pressure" type of race where you can just enjoy what is around you rather than running in a herd most of the way. Typically, I have to drive about 30-45 minutes each way to get to races (if not further), so it was nice to get to sleep in since the race was so close to home - BONUS!
Before the race, I got to meet one of my readers, Kristina. I always enjoy meeting readers at races and events so this made the more great for sure. Thank you Kristina for talking with me and for your kind words about my blog. :)
Thank you again to the awesome team and volunteers at the Historic 5K! We had a great time and definitely look forward to returning again in 2016.
