While I have a GPS watch that provides me with some of this data already, I was eager to have another look into my runs. I will admit it, I am a total statistics nerd and absolutely love seeing different statistics from my runs. My theory is that the more you know about what you are doing and how well you are doing it, the more you can improve. This is exactly why I was excited to have the opportunity to analyze my runs with the 3rd Generation MilestonePod.
One of the first things that I noticed when I opened my new MilestonePod was the upgraded and sleeker design of the pod. I dove into my box and read through the instructions and was ready to get this party started.
One part that I like was that it knows different "segments" of a run. For example, if you go for a warm up or cool down run, it will separate that from your main run (as long as there is a pause between the activities). I really like this feature because sometimes I will tack on extra miles after a race when I run back on part of the course to cheer on friends or family.
What good is it to just know you are not doing optimally in certain areas without learning how to improve? I am pretty excited to get on the email list for Ground Contact and learn different ways to improve this in the future.
Thank you again to Milestone Pod for allowing me the opportunity to try out one of these awesome devices!
