Despite how much fun there is to have in Las Vegas, I kept focused on my plan to take it easy during the day. However, I didn't want to lay around the hotel all day. Momma K and I went adventuring down towards Caesar's Palace and The Venetian in the morning to do some sightseeing, shopping, etc.
We made our way into our corral about 25 minutes before we were due to start which was perfect. Nothing is worse than waiting for long periods of time in a corral, so thank you Rock 'n' Roll for encouraging runners to head to the corral according to their corral start time.
As we stood in the corral, we met a lot of other runners from all over the country and even some international runners. One of my favorite things about race day is meeting new runners and hearing their stories. Chatting it up with other runners definitely made time go by faster.
We continued our way down Las Vegas Blvd, but don't worry, we willl soon be back as the finish line is in front of The Mirage.
I have been asked a number of times already if I plan on returning to Las Vegas for a future Rock 'n' Roll weekend - ummmm, of course! I have my laces crossed tight that my 2017 schedule will allow for me to head back west again next November to run The Strip yet again!
